About
Facility, lab, and test design made simple.
This platform focuses on centralizing Information and processes to help design any workflows from Assay to facility functions, with ease and in hours instead of months, eliminating dependencies, and automating most tasks in the background.
Pains and impact

Long timelines and lots of manual intervention
Designing the tests and workflows was done manually on multiple file types and was dependent on parallel work.

Fragmented procedures
Different facilities and teams use different creation processes, files, and specifications.

Centralize and standardize
Help assay, test, and lab designers reuse and share workflows and artifacts. Reduce setup time and improve similar processes.

Compliance, record keeping, and review flow
Create an easy-to-access system that is simple to share with regulatory bodies and with internal review structures.
Personas

Facility to facility scope:
Directors, lab managers, and administrators.

Lab workflow:
Lab managers, lab admin, and lab personnel.

Test workflow:
Lab managers and lab personnel.
Timeline
Problem definition
LMS integration: first-stage conversations with core users from each group to prioritize needs and pain points.
User research
Conducted multiple rounds of interviews and workshops with groups and individual users of each core persona. Created and validated rough sketches, maps, wireframes, and prototypes through feedback loops.
Design Iteration
After designing first-stage flows and gathering feedback, I built high-fidelity prototypes, later validated with interactive examples built with the aid of Clude, involving users for validation and the engineering team for feasibility checks.
Delivery
Hand off to the engineering team at different stages of feature development. QA in testing and production. Work closely to ensure components function correctly and incorporate the design system and component library.
Continuous improvement
Maintaining constant feedback and discovery sessions with super users and core groups. Restarting the process.
Challenges
There were issues and challenges throughout the effort:

Complex workflows and personas.

Feasibility changes across the timeline.

Dependencies on older systems and legacy LMS features.

Standardizing across multiple tests, labs, states, and even countries required a flexible system capable of scaling.

Large knowledge barriers for the LMS system and workflows.
